Bruce Carrilo of the Edmonton Bears culminated a sensational week of play by being named the North American League Player of the Week.
He rocked the opposition with a .545 batting average, 12 hits in 22 at-bats, 3 home runs, and 9 RBIs while scoring 8 times.
Presently Carrilo is batting .309 with 101 hits and 4 home runs. He has knocked in 49 runs and scored 48 times.

 | Tuesday, July 12th, 2011: Edmonton Shuts Out Monterrey
Felix Aldecoa dominated the day, pitching shutout ball against the Monterrey and holding them to 4 hits. He fanned 3 and walked 2 in spinning his 4-0 win.
"I can't take all the credit for this one," Aldecoa said. "I had some great defense behind me."
Currently Aldecoa has a record of 6-9 with 61 strikeouts and 47 walks in 134 innings and a 4.77 ERA.

"It was just one of those games, when everything went right. I threw a lot of strikes," Ryan Nesmith said. "And the pitches they did get to hit, they didn't do anything with them."
