| Breaking News |  | Friday, August 5th, 2011: León Lose Greenwell for 2 Weeks
León fans held their breath as George Greenwell left yesterday's Medellín-León contest with an injury. After the game, the team's medical staff said that the 22-year-old reliever had suffered a hyperextended elbow while throwing a pitch. It's estimated that he will be out 2 weeks.
So far this year Greenwell has nailed down no saves. His won-lost record is 0-1 with a 4.13 ERA.

Watching George Greenwell getting helped off the field today at Field of the Fielders, fans of the León feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the reliever will miss 1-2 weeks with a strained back muscle. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Greenwell suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Baton Rouge.

Bill Ogara walked away with the South American League Batter of the Month award for his solid work with the stick in June.
The León left fielder hit .337 with 6 home runs, 17 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
So far this season Ogara has gotten 83 hits in 229 at-bats for a .362 batting average with 14 home runs. His stats include 47 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has played in 62 games.
