| Breaking News | | Friday, October 14th, 2011: Great Stroke! Cobb, IV Gets 5 Hits! What a day for Tyrus Cobb, IV of the Las Vegas Aliens! A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen everyday! He ripped Nashville pitching apart at The Crop Circle and sparked the Aliens to a 8-6 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing up his special day 5-5.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Cobb, IV told SION reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that."
T. Cobb, IV singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off B. Kelly in the 8th.
So far in 2011 Cobb, IV is batting .337 with 15 home runs, 80 RBIs and 109 runs scored. He has 221 hits in 655 at-bats and a .407 OBP. | | Tuesday, August 30th, 2011: Big Day for Magana! The Salt Lake City third baseman was a tough out and went 5 for 6 against Nashville in a fine hitting display.
