| Breaking News | | Sunday, October 9th, 2011: Mosquitos Caldwell Sidelined for 2-3 Weeks Bob Caldwell at first refused to leave today's Rio de Janeiro-Quito game after he suffered a hyperextended knee while running the bases. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I'm a competitor," the feisty Quito center fielder said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Caldwell out of action for 2-3 weeks.
Posting a .325 batting average to date, Caldwell has 13 home runs and 79 RBIs. | | Wednesday, September 28th, 2011: Graciano Soberauiz Chosen SLAAA's Premier Hitter Graciano Soberauiz, the very talented Quito first baseman, certainly made his name known among South American League hurlers this season. His trainer said he is expected to be sidelined for the next 1-2 weeks.
Checking out his stats for the season, Pfaff has registered 13 wins and 9 losses in 31 starts, 4.00 ERA and struck out 106 batters in 222.2 innings. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 93-69, .574 PCT | | Position in Division | 2nd, 9.0 GB | | Record at home | 50-31, .617 PCT | | Record on the road | 43-38, .531 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 2-12, .143 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 25-31, .446 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 24-17, .585 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 69-52, .570 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 3-7, .300 PCT | | Record in April | 14-10, .583 PCT | | Record in May | 15-13, .536 PCT | | Record in June | 15-12, .556 PCT | | Record in July | 16-9, .640 PCT | | Record in August | 16-13, .552 PCT | | Record in September | 17-10, .630 PCT | | Record in October | 0-2, .000 PCT |
