July was a month Managua left fielder James Tenbrook is not likely to forget very soon. Not only did he hit .350, he was also named the winner of the South American Rookie of the Month award.
He nailed down the honor with a .350 average, 36 hits, 1 home run, 11 RBIs and 18 runs scored during the month.
So far this season Tenbrook has 1 home run and a .325 batting average.

Who needs batting practice? Mike Dorion of Bogotá apparently doesn't as he battered Managua with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 10-5 win.
He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 6 day... will my name be in the record books now?"
M. Dorion hit an RBI double in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Dorion is hitting at a .309 mark this season. His stats show 9 home runs, 54 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has played 92 games for the Scholars.

Managua received a bit of good news today as their third baseman Daniel Ixcotsaenz accepted a $8,880,000-per-year offer that will keep him in a Four Roses uniform for 3 years.
This season-to-date Ixcotsaenz has 8 home runs and a .249 batting average.
