| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, July 5th, 2011: Lindsey Rips Winnipeg for 5 Hits Kenneth Lindsey was a tough out and went 5 for 5 against Winnipeg in a fine hitting display. But the Whips still managed to beat the Lafayette 8-7.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody...and some days they fall in." Lindsey also added, "And some days you lose, no matter how well you play. 5 hits in a game ought to win it."
Don't know if it is any consolation to him, but he will get his name put in the record books.
K. Lindsey hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
For 2011 Lindsey is batting .353 with 2 home runs, 31 RBIs and 18 runs scored. |  | Wednesday, May 25th, 2011: Red-Hot Fowler Scorches Pedernales It was high-5 day at Whip Park, at least for Bob Fowler of the Winnipeg Whips. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Pedernales. Fowler smashed 5 hits in 9 at-bats on a his record-setting day, leading his club to a 5-2 win.
His manager said, "Bob was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him."
In the other dugout the opposing manager told SION beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine."
B. Fowler flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th, singled in the 12th, doubled in the 14th, singled in the 16th, singled in the 18th and hit an RBI double in the 19th.
